SUMMARY:Downtown Photo Walk
DESCRIPTION:Explore Downtown with fellow photographers in Calgary. Open to all levels! \nPractice your photography in a fun group setting! We will walk around Calgary’s Downtown to practice photography as a group. It’s a good opportunity to try out street\, architecture\, portrait\, abstract\, and other types of photography. \nWe are meeting at Eau Claire Plaza next to the river. We’ll explore the streets with our cameras for 1.5-2 hours and head to a cafe to for a complimentary refreshment. Afterwards\, we’ll end the walk at Alcove Beltline\, where we’re presenting our annual community photography exhibition. The exhibition features work by photographers from across our community \nThe Downtown Photo Walks are hosted monthly in partnership with the Calgary Downtown Association (@downtowncalgary). \nAll levels are welcome and mobile phone cameras are perfectly fine if you don’t own a DSLR or mirrorless camera. \nFacilitated by Dennis Lee (@d3nree) & Ray Muise (@raymuise) \nWhy go on a Group Photo Walk? \n\nPractice your skills in photography and observation in a collaborative environment.\nMeet other photographers in your area.\nSee how other photographers see and shoot. Learn from each other!\nFeel more safe and comfortable while wandering around with your camera.\nGood exercise and a fun way to explore the city!\n\nPlease dress for the weather and be on time. We will depart from the meetup location 10 minutes after the start time.
