SUMMARY:National Day for Truth and Reconciliation at The Confluence
DESCRIPTION:Join The Confluence for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation to actively engage in reconciliation and decolonization with a variety of free\, educational programming. \nAs part of our ongoing mission of reconciliation and decolonization\, The Confluence will be offering a variety of free programming all day\, including free admission to exhibits in the cultural centre\, programming in tipis on the land\, educational walking tours and more. The site will also host the City of Calgary Orange Shirt Day Program from 9-10:30 am. \nWe highly encourage visitors to our site on this day to come wearing an orange shirt or other orange clothing items\, such as scarves\, hats\, buttons\, etc. If you are in need of an orange shirt\, we recommend purchasing from the Orange Shirt Society\, a non-profit organization that aims to create awareness of the generational impacts of Residential Schools through Orange Shirt Day activities.
