We are called Singers because calling us a choir seems a bit formal with its attendant expectation of trained singers with a high level of discipline. We’re a bunch of older Scotsmen who like to sing and have a lot of fun doing so.
The program content was chosen to present a selection of Scottish songs, including our salute to Robert Burns and the well-known Loch Lomond, a bit of humour with the Battle Hymn of Aging, and our Canadian content with the Banks of Newfoundland. And with Remembrance Day just around the corner, we include Our Comrades Who Answer the Call, where we honour our military and remind us all of the ongoing threats to our peaceful way of life.
