A story of moonlight, wonder, and the bond between parent and child, La Luna reflects W&M’s long commitment to community-engaged professional dance and to bringing young performers onto the professional stage.
Choreographed and directed by Melissa Monteros, La Luna began as a short work for the children of Miles Avenue Elementary in Huntington Park, Los Angeles County, created for Monteros’ thesis concerns at UCLA.
