This immersive half-day workshop invites participants to learn alongside local Indigenous Knowledge Keepers as they take part in the hands-on process of raising a tipi. Guided through each stage, from laying out the site and preparing the poles to securing the canvas and setting the smoke flaps, you’ll gain practical skills while exploring the cultural protocols and traditions that have been passed down through generations.
Along the way, Knowledge Keepers will share the history and significance of the tipi as both a home and a sacred symbol of community, respect, and connection.
