About the Event
Join Colores del Alma for The Jochi’s Experience, a celebration of Latinx LGBTQ+ culture, community and Pride!
The evening brings together Latin dance, a community salsa lesson, drag performances and music for a night dedicated to unity, love and cultural celebration.
“Jochis” comes from the historically offensive term “joto,” which has been reclaimed within the LGBTQ+ community and transformed into an expression of affection, playful mockery and pride.

- 5:30 p.m. – Welcome, introduction & Treaty 7 Land Acknowledgement
- 5:45 p.m. – Latin Social Dance Performance
- 6:00 p.m. – Community Salsa/Social Dance Lesson with Montuno Dance Company
- 6:30 p.m. – Latinx Drag Showcase featuring Alina Montenegro, Berry Wet Latina, Cuccita Caliente & The Samba Queen: Paula Regehr
- 7:30 p.m. – DJ Set featuring DJ Die & Go
