Learn the basics of DJing with Trexx!
This hands-on DJ workshop introduces participants to the foundations of DJing, from analyzing tracks with DJ software to making simple transitions on the decks. Participants will be introduced to cueing, EQs, faders, filters, looping, and FX, with time for guided practice. The workshop will also briefly explore where DJs find their music and how they prepare for a set. Designed for beginner to intermediate-level participants, the workshop aims to build confidence, encourage participants to develop their personal taste and make DJing feel more approachable.
Workshops are recommended for people ages 12 and over. Children under 12 years old are welcome with parent/guardian supervision.
The workshop is admission by donation! Suggested donation: $20 – $30 to support facilitator fees and supplies.
