In Otipemisiwak Fantasy, Riel Starr explores Métis culture through an Indigiqueer perspective. Starr unapologetically conceptualizes Métis futurism through traditionally crafted contemporary objects in order to honour their own personal connection to their culture, the land, and the survivance of historical Two-Spiritness.
